Participation/Playing Time
- Players are expected to be at the entire practice, game, and any team function. You must be on time for practices, games, and team functions. If you are going to be late or absent to anything you must have prior approval from the Head Coach.
- The amount of playing time each player receives will be determined by skills, attitude, and commitment to the team.
- Missed practices will result in missing innings of next game determined by coaching staff.
- Missed games will result in missing the next game.
- To earn a varsity letter you must play in 1/2 the regular season games.
Attitude, Respect, Conduct
- Team members will show respect for, be considerate of, and display a positive attitude towards teammates, coaches, umpires, opposing players, and parents. Players will conduct themselves in a proper and well-behaved manner while in uniform and during all team functions.
Off the Field
- Good standing academically
- Respect teachers, administration, and fellow students.
- Be on time and attend every class
- Detentions or behavioral problems will be handled accordingly.
- Follow the Athletic policy
Equipment/Field
- Respect any school issued equipment as if it is your own.
- You will be required to take care of equipment and the field, before and after

- Tiger sharks live to play the game, focusing on the process, and having positive mind set. When adversity comes their way they respond by saying “So what, next pitch”.
- Tiger shark uses every last ounce of energy on the field, playing as today is their last, living in the blood, sweat, and tears.

Tigershark Pitchers
Pitcher this is something for you to remember and strive for. You are the key to our success.
Ten rules of pitching:
1. Courage: Thou shall not be afraid to compete, pitch inside, make the pitch or be afraid to fail.
2. Character: Thou shall be a person of accountability and substance, not style.
3. Conviction: Thou shall absolutely believe our philosophy and your stuff.
4. Control: Thou shall have mechanical, mental control, and balance.
5. Concentration: Thou shall focus on only the things I can control. Throw strikes.
6. Command: Thou shall throw my fastball for low strikes on both sides of the plate. Thou shall be able to throw off speed pitches at any time.
7. Composure: Thou shall have the ability to recover the next pitch.
8. Concern: Thou shall respect my teammates, opponents, and most importantly the game.
9. Cooperation: Thou shall be willing to try new ideas, be open to coaching suggestions.
10. Condition: Thou shall be in the best physical and mental shape I can possibly be in.
Follow these basic rules and you will be on the road to lots of success as a pitcher.
